Part-time position: 25–35 hours per week, 6–7 hour shifts

Availability: Applicants must have evening and weekend availability including day and evening shifts. Employee will either be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant

Job Description: Accurately and efficiently cook The Shack’s menu items as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Know and comply consistently with The Shack’s standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen and company wide rules, policies and procedures
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.  
  • Inform Kitchen Manager immediately of product shortages.
  • Refer to daily prep and checklists at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists.
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.  
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes according to build sheets.  
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Opens or closes the kitchen properly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the The Shack management team. 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.  
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Part-time position: 20–35 hours per week, 8–9 hour shifts

Availability: Applicants must have evening and weekend availability including day and evening shifts. Employee will either be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Know and comply consistently with The Shack standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen and company wide rules, policies and procedures

  • Builds pizzas in a fast paced environment according to standardized recipes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

Job Description: Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. Each server's primary objective is to WOW our guests and exceed their expectations so they will want to return again and again. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Greet customers and present menus 
  • Make suggestions based on their preferences
  • Take and serve food/drinks orders
  • Up-sell when appropriate
  • Arrange table settings
  • Keep tables clean and tidy at all times
  • Deliver checks and collect payments 
  • Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Server
  • Experience with developing constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers
  • 2 years of experience with cash register and any ordering information system
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Active listening
  • Good physical condition
  • High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus

Job Description: Restaurant Bartenders are responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Consistently crafting cocktails following recipes provided
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Greet customers and present menus 
  • Make suggestions based on their preferences
  • Take and serve food/drinks orders
  • Up-sell when appropriate
  • Arrange table settings
  • Keep tables clean and tidy at all times
  • Deliver checks and collect payments 
  • Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
  • Complete any other tasks or directives issued by managers and supervisors of The Shack.  
  • Setting up and breaking down the bar before and after service
  • Providing excellent customer service, in a knowledgeable and welcoming manner
  • Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • It is necessary to possess a basic understanding of bartender skills, and an ability to keep an accurate pour count.
  • Setting up and breaking down the bar before and after service.
  • Providing excellent customer service, in a knowledgeable and welcoming manner

  • Good physical condition
  • Must have a bartender license or the ability to obtain a license.

Job Description: A hostess or host greets customers as they enter the restaurant, takes their reservation or puts them on the waiting list, and shows them to their seat.  They may also handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and the menu, and assist various restaurant staff when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Being the first point of contact for the restaurant, greeting every guest in the most respectable fashion is required.  
  • Answering the phones in a timely manner, being as courteous and helpful as possible
  • Organizing the seating plan ahead of service. Paying attention to proper table rotation and managing the seating chart.
  • Constantly communicating with other staff members about current seating arrangements.
  • Providing accurate wait times to guests wanting to be seated.
  • Occasionally assist servers with orders, delivery of food and clearing tables
  • Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.  
  • Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Communicate professionally with all customers, staff, and supervisors
  • Demonstrate hospitality and exhibit knowledge of food service industry
  • Take pride in providing excellent service to our guests
  • Must have mobility for long periods of up to four (4) hours in length
  • Must be able to safely reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be at least 16 years old.

Part-time position: 25–35 hours per week, 6–7 hour shifts

Availability: Applicants must have evening and weekend availability including day and evening shifts. Employee will either be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with other wait staff on the most important task to tackle first
  • Quietly and quickly clearing, cleaning, and resetting the table to turn during service
  • Keeping all beverage stations stocked with ice
  • Keeping all service stations free of dirty dishes and trash
  • Taking the full bus tubs of dirty dishes back to the dish tank, properly unloading them and returning them to be used again
  • Complete any other tasks or directives issued by The Shack Management team.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Communicate professionally with all customers, staff, and supervisors
  • Demonstrate hospitality and exhibit knowledge of food service industry
  • Take pride in providing quality food & excellent service to our guests
  • Must have mobility for long periods of up to four (4) hours in length
  • Must be able to safely reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.

Part-time position: 30–35 hours per week, 8–9 hour shifts

Availability: Applicants must have evening and weekend availability including day and evening shifts. Employee will either be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Consistently washing and re-distributing 
  • Load, run and unload dish machine
  • Keep the dish machine and sink water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
  • Assist with basic food preparation and production areas as required.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors, as required. Assisting with the unloading of deliveries. Storing ingredients according to prescribed food safety regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Communicate professionally with all customers, staff, and supervisors
  • Demonstrate hospitality and exhibit knowledge of food service industry
  • Take pride in maintaining a clean dish tank area. 
  • Must have mobility for long periods of up to nine hours in length
  • Must be able to safely reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds
